An Overview of Arak\u2019s Industries<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Arak is among the most prominent industrial cities in Iran. It ranks first in terms of product diversity and second in terms of the presence of core industries, making it one of the four main industrial hubs in the country. Arak is known as the “Industrial Capital of Iran” due to its key industries, which include producers of 80% of Iran\u2019s energy equipment, the largest aluminum factory, the largest machinery manufacturing company, the largest railcar and train manufacturer in the Middle East, and major electricity and telecommunications infrastructure producers (e.g., Avangan, Yasan, Gam, Shayan Bargh), as well as Iran’s largest producer of tools (Iran Potk), the first and largest industrial and construction machinery manufacturer in the Middle East, the largest combine harvester producer, the largest hydraulic jack producer, the biggest gasoline producer, and the largest producer of salt-based metals in the country. Aluminum is the second most produced and consumed metal in the world after steel, and it is considered the main metal of the 21st century. The Iran Aluminum Company (IRALCO) is the oldest aluminum production unit in Iran, with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of aluminum ingots. It was established in 1972 with American and Pakistani collaboration, and its ownership was fully transferred to Iran after the revolution. This company, along with more than 500 subsidiary workshops, has made Arak a key aluminum production hub in the country.<\/p>\n

The Navard Aluminum Group, founded in 1972, is one of the largest producers in the region, manufacturing aluminum sheets, plates, and coils using advanced techniques. It is also the only producer of clad aluminum in Iran and exports to countries such as the UK, Canada, Japan, Germany, and Turkey.<\/p>\n
